A Tale of Two Cats
This week, there was a new wonderful addition to my Limited Edition Two Cats Together design. It also got me thinking of my own experience with two cats - one that might resonate with you too...
I was lucky enough to love and cherish two cats together when I was growing up with Lilly the Tortoiseshell and Thomas the Ginger Tom. A sweet brother and sister who came to live with us.
I loved having two cats, although it was sadly short-lived. Poor Lilly died suddenly when she was only 3 years old, after contracting Feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV).
Thomas was a lost soul for a while. We all were. She was a beautiful cat with her own unique personality. She left behind her gorgeous brother who took on Lilly's 9 lives and lived til he was 16!
When you look back at the wonderful pets we've had you can't help feel really lucky. It's an honour to have these furry creatures in our lives. The sad reality is that they don't get to live as long as we do and at some point we have to say goodbye.
As a pet lover, we know too well that each moment is precious.
I recently came across this poignant thought...
Our pets may be with us for just a chapter of our lives, but to them, we are their whole book.
All we can do is make sure that book is as full of love and care in the short chapter of life that they honour us with.
Two Cats Together is a celebration of our beautiful cats and the bonds they have with us - and each other. I hope this limited edition design means something special to you too.
