This carefully selected mix of wildflowers is enough to cover 1 metre square in a garden bed or 3-5 medium sized pots.
The tin features Robin, a popular Jin Designs creation, who would love to feed on seeds and insects in your garden.
According to the RSPB, a lack of habitat and food abundance has lead to huge decline (over 50% in the last 45 years) of many common UK garden birds. We can do our bit by helping to grow British wildflowers.
Bird Mix is designed to feed the birds for you, and is a much more sustainable option to buying bagged bird feed! The careful selection of plants will boost the food supply for a wide range of birds including goldfinches, blue tits, chaffinches, greenfinches, robins, starlings, increasing the number of birds seen in your garden.
• 20 seedballs containing approximately 30 seeds per ball
• Each seedball contains a mix of Corn Marigold, Poppy, Greater Knapweed, Sheep Sorrel, Tufted Vetch and Wild Carrot
• Best scattered in Autumn or Spring
• Made in the UK
What are seedballs? How do they work?
A seedball is made of clay, peat-free compost and chilli powder - and seeds too of course! The ball prevents birds and insects from trying to eat the seeds. Therefore it increases the chances of you growing the wildflowers. They are super easy to use and no expert knowledge is needed.
How do I use seedballs?
Throw onto soil or compost in a garden bed or planter in Spring or Autumn, leaving at least 10cm between each ball. Your Seedball has everything it needs to grow and, once the ball becomes moist and the temperature is right, your seeds will germinate!
What area will my seedballs cover?
Advice is 20 seed balls per square metre, or 3-5 seedballs for a 35cm container.
