Jin Designs Wins UKTI Mission to New York
Incredible news this week as Jin Designs has won a UKTI competition to be part of the Great British Design business delegation to New York. This 5 day trip includes attending NY Now, one of the biggest Trade Fairs in the World for Home and Giftware. Not only will Jin Designs be attending the event along with the UKTI, there will be the chance to showcase products and meet key retail buyers, potential partners and business prospects in the US and beyond.
The mission to New York is a chance for British brands to research the US market with the potential to export products to international retailers. After applying to take part in the "Great British Design in New York" Compeition last week, Designer and Owner Jinny got through to the next stage and had to present a 3 minute pitch to 3 UKTI judges. The results were announced yesterday as Jinny was informed that Jin Designs had been selected to join them on the 5 day trip at the beginning of February.
Jinny commented "I can't believe it. This is an amazing, once in a lifetime, dream come true opportunity to showcase my designs and products to the US market. It's also going to be a chance to gain some valuable insight from the UKTI team into exporting."
Jin Designs has been allocated an International Trade Adviser who will help set up meetings with potential prospects.
Jinny went on to say "I've always hoped for an opportunity to take Jin Designs to the US. In the brief 2 and a half years since launching, I've witnessed demand for the products grow online each month, not just here in the UK but in the US and beyond. To have the chance now to reach international trade buyers is fantastic."
"I am going to be proud to represent British Design and Industry and I will do my very best to bring opportunities back to the UK through my mission to New York!"
